Mother's Day Tea Benefits Children at Duke HospitalJoin Preston's League at its first annual Mother's Day Tea at Croasdaile Country Club on Saturday May 11th from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
By: Preston's League Preston's League was created to honor the memory of Preston Winslow who died from AML when he was 4. His parents, James and Celeste Winslow started Preston's League to help other families whose children are battling for their lives on the Duke Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Floor. Every week, each family requests up to $25 of whatever items from Target that they find most useful. It is not easy for families to leave the hospital to get items that they might need like snacks, toiletries, toys, pajamas, etc. Celeste remembers wanting to spend each moment with Preston, not wanting to leave the hospital unless absolutely necessary. She and James are honoring their brave son with this mission to serve other families who are going through the same thing that they did. Many talented and compassionate florists from the Triangle area have donated centerpieces to the Mother's Day Tea which will be auctioned off to bring home for Mother's Day. Preston's League is grateful to the generous florists who have donated, to Croasdaile Country Club, and to Amy Rossi Photography who will be taking pictures of guests. You can reserve your spot at the Mother's Day Tea at www.prestonsleague.org End
