James Flanick, RPh, MBA, is Now Chief Operating Officer of CSI Specialty Group

SANFORD, Fla. - April 3, 2019 - PRLog -- CSI Specialty Group announced today that James (Jay) Flanick, RPh, MBA, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Flanick is a senior executive and pharmacy leader with more than 25 years experience in development, implementation and management of strategic and tactical solutions for the specialty pharmacy, manufacturer and PBM/mail service industry.

His expertise extends to areas including payor/plan sponsor strategies, network access, drug pricing and contracting via wholesaler and direct with the manufacturer, and benefit plan design. In his new role as COO, he will be responsible for all strategic, operational, and contractual aspects of the business.

Prior to joining CSI Specialty Group, Flanick acted as Senior Vice-President for business strategy and operations for the Aetna Fulfillment Division (Aetna Home Delivery and Aetna Specialty Pharmacy) with P&L responsibility for a $2.9 billion division with three operating sites in Florida and Missouri.

He earned his bachelor of science degree (Pharmacy) from Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Dayton. He holds active pharmacist licenses in Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and is a Member of PCMA Board of Governors for Specialty Pharmacy.
