Follow on Google News | Petite focused fashion show returns in MayBy: Fashion Umbrella Foundation In 2012, UNDER was created to represent models who were not tall enough to participate in Baltimore's annual fashion week, Baltimore Fashion Week. Models standing at a maximum height of 5' 7" or shorter now have an event to display their professional runway talents just like standard height models. "At Baltimore Fashion Week's first casting in 2007, we had over 200 models attend our casting to see if they could get a spot to walk in Baltimore's first and only fashion week. A lot of models were disappointed because they weren't tall enough. After a few years of witnessing tears and anguish, I decided to create a fashion platform for petite models and the designers who create for this community. It is with great pleasure to present to you my petite baby, UNDER," stated Sharan Nixon, Founder/Executive Producer of UNDER. Although registration for petite models has ended, designers or boutiques who clothe the petite community have until March 31, 2019, to register to showcase in this event.
