Taped before a live studio audience, Life-Saving Stroke Care presents a skilled lineup of St. Luke's specialists, including Dr. Daniel Ackerman, Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology, and Dr. Martin Oselkin, Interventional Neuroradiologist, whose practice is focused on the treatment of patients suffering from vascular disorders of the brain and spine. The episode also features Dr. Richard Leung, Neuro-Hospitalist who recently joined the network after attending medical school at Ben Gurion University in Israel. Hosted by Ashley Russo, president and executive producer of ASR Media Productions, the program is a collaboration with St. Luke's University Health Network.
"It was such a pleasure to take part in the St. Luke's HealthNow program," said Dr. Ackerman. "What a wonderful opportunity to bring high quality medical information from experts in the field right into the homes of our neighbors and patients. Not only as a part of the St Luke's family, but as a husband and father in this community, I feel like building medical literacy and empowering people to take command of their own health has never been more important."
St. Luke's HealthNow complements other St. Luke's health and wellness programming. Talk with Your Doctor is a 30-minute live call-in show now in its 21st year and The PEAK TV, also a co-production with ASR Media, offers viewers thought-provoking stories, tips for better health, and ways to be your best self.
St. Luke's HealthNow, Talk with Your Doctor, and The PEAK TV air in rotation every Monday at 6:30 PM on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 (Service Electric channel 508 and RCN channel 1007). Check local listings for show schedule and topics.
