Morehouse School of Medicine's Pipeline Initiative, Office for Educational Outreach and Health Careers is the main sponsor for this fair. "The collaboration with SEM Link is exciting because we both share the mission of immersing students in STEM through hands-on experience and career exposure. This is critical as it encourages students to experiment and aids in developing strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, it introduces students to STEM professions that can inspire them on what the future holds." Stated Dr. Rahmelle Thompson, Assistant Dean, Pipeline Initiatives
Additional financial support for the career fair comes from the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, The H.J. Russell Company and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. "I'm very excited to host this year's fair at Morehouse School of Medicine and to have them as a sponsor and partner. This allows us to expand the STEM careers that we expose youth to include biomedical and health careers." Our two core programs, Experimental Design Program and Math and Science Career Academy, enhance the STEM educational experience for K-12 students by providing them with opportunities to engage in hands-on STEM activities, explore STEM careers and learn about real-world applications of STEM. Since our inception we have served thousands of youth in Atlanta, the San Francisco Bay Area and the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia). SEM Link currently offers programs in Atlanta and the DMV.
