Hutong School Hosts Talking China
By: Hutong School
On May 21st, 2019 Hutong School hosted a Talking China: Behind the Chinese Social Credit System and New Retail in China speakers' event, with guest speakers Ed Sander of China Talk and Dominiek Pouwer of TMO Group. Due to the tremendous advancement in technological development, the Chinese Social Credit System has been developed and enforced. Nevertheless, technological advancements also impact the current business environment. Concepts like e-commerce and e-marketing have emerged in China's retail market, which has changed the way we behave as consumers as well as the way we market as retailers.
We are thrilled to be able to provide a wide-ranging, informative and clear-eyed presentation from experts in the field of new retail and to dispel the misconceptions surrounding the Chinese Social System. We believe it is essential that we continue to include activities and events in our Chinese language and internship programs in order to provide our students with the best possible learning experience and to continue to broaden students' knowledge of China.
