Learning life lessons through Cricket in Notion Press' latest book, Life in the Sunshine

The book talks about how the 3 teenagers fall in love with the game and cherish the moments they have on and off the field. The author vividly describes all the fantasies that run through the minds of these youngsters, their imaginary alternative versions of matches and even disappointment they suffer as they watch India being defeated continuously by their arch rival, Pakistan.

These losses are etched into their memory and becomes pivotal to many of the challenges they encounter. Additionally, Sat is heartbroken and faces an identity crisis as he fails to graduate from school cricket to state-level cricket. How the youngsters overcome their problems, help Sat rediscover his passion for life and learn hard life lessons make up the crux of this book.

The author of the book, T. Sathish, is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and works for Cognizant Technology Solutions. He is an avid sports fan and shares his passion for the game of cricket by writing columns in WorldinSport.com, an online sports magazine. Apart from Life in the Sunshine, the author has also published short stories, Am I Free? and Hang in There. Sathish lives in Chennai with his wife and son.
