In the words of PM Modi, "I am happy to see young minds thinking about ways to take our nation forward. It is a delight to be among smart innovators of Smart India."
It is matter of pride for Panipat Institute of Engineering Technology, who secured 2nd ranking in Hackathon 2K17, having been chosen once again as one of the nodal centre for The Smart India Hackathon 2K19 and once again winning the 2nd ranking in this prestigious competition which involved over 5 million students across India.
We had hosted here 31 teams comprising of 124 students and 57 mentors from different parts of the country. During these two days personalities like Rohita Rewari (MLA Panipat), Akram Lamba (The Times of India), Purnia Rao (QRG Medicare), Rajesh Aggarwal (MD Micromax), Dr. Vinay Jain (INFOSYS), Hardik Dhamija (EEDUSERVE, the official partners, SIH) and above all Dr. Madhukar (Deputy Director AICTE) were the elite guests of this national level prestigious event.
Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is the Best Engineering Colleges in Haryana. The institute is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It is a 19 acre vast campus on the brink of road leading to Panipat from Delhi and is reachable within 50 minutes from Delhi Border. it is also an AICTE approved Colleges which is primarily known for imparting quality education in a world class infrastructure which gives aspirants a sense of pride for being a student of this institute.
If we talk about the teaching learning process, we have here the best of competent teachers with world class methodology attained from the universities of USA, UK and Germany etc. by virtue of global tie-ups which even facilitate student/faculty exchange programs. Further on, we have recently signed an MoU with Chungbuk National University, South Korea for exchange of research scholars and another MoU with with Australian Institute of Water Sciences for opening a centre of research on this vital topic currently echoing through international corridors.
The teaching is not just limited to class room lectures. The learning is further substantiated with guest lectures, international seminars, projects and so much more to help students learn the practical part of their respective streams. This methodology helps them to come up with new ideas as well testing principles of perfecting engineering because engineering is not just assembling the parts in a way to make them work together. Engineering is like grasping the bull by the horns, trying to cope up with hopes high which means it is not just to deal with troubleshooting. So you have to expose them to the risks of doing and doing.
At the same time there is every opportunity available for personality development of the aspirants by exposing them to the task of coordinating and managing the college events in the form of periodical functions. They also get a chance to come on the stage to exhibit their acquired skills.
