FORT MYERS, Fla. - March 20, 2019 - PRLog -- For the first time in nine years, the Goodwill Golf Classic will be held on a Thursday rather than a weekend.

"We realize people's weekends are precious to them. By hosting our tournament during the week, players can enjoy supporting Goodwill outdoors on a beautiful golf course as part of their workday," said John Nadeau, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.

Registration is open for the 9th Annual Goodwill Charity Golf Classic, a four-person scramble set for Thursday, May 2 at River Hall Country Club, a Davis Love III designed course.

Practice begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shot-gun start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch and an awards presentation will follow play. Contests include a hole-in-one prize offer of a $5,000 Visa gift card and golf-related prizes.

Cost for each player is $99 which includes a cart, 18 holes and hot lunch in the Clubhouse. Hole sponsorship opportunities cost $100. Proceeds benefit the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation, which supports community support services offered to the public through Goodwill. Examples include an adult day training program for adults with developmental disabilities, employment services, career exploration, small business and computer skills training classes.
