SOulFully Textured, A Natural Hair Experience

BOSTON - March 17, 2019 - PRLog -- The Curated Curl, an online community connecting multicultural women who are embracing their natural hair textures, is hosting its signature event, SOulFully Textured™, A Natural Hair Experience, on Saturday, April 27, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Approximately 350 people are expected to attend this celebration of the natural hair culture which is slated to be New England's premier event for textured hair. The interactive day will allow like-minded naturals to journey together through hairstyling demonstrations, free health screenings, hair chats and over 30 specially curated vendors. Event attendees will have the opportunity to screen the powerful film, Natural Hair The Movie, and a panel discussion of the film will be moderated by WGBH's Callie Crossley, host of "Under The Radar with Callie Crossley."  Local artist Ayana Mack will offer attendees the opportunity to paint their own natural hair diva masterpieces to take home while engaging in a small group natural hair conversation with the event's natural hair experts. The Wellesley College African Students' Association will entertain with fashion and cultural performances. There will be something for everyone, including product samples and giveaways.

This event is for those with naturally textured hair, whether wavy, curly or kinky, but is specifically designed for African, African-Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Latinas and those who care for children with textured and coarser hair. The goal is to eradicate stereotypes and the stigma that has, historically, been associated with textured hair in its natural state by creating a fun environment that promotes natural hair culture.

SOulFully Textured™, A Natural Hair Experience will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at District Hall in the heart of Boston's Innovation District, the Seaport. Tickets range from $15 to $45 and are on sale now at: http://soulfullytextured.eventbrite.com.
