SACRAMENTO, Calif. - March 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Upcycle Pop is a playful pop-up holiday market event happening on Saturday, March 23rd, 2018, from 2 to 8 pm. A fun local way to get beer at sustainability. Enjoy original live music from local bands, savor Mimosas, beer or wine for a good cause, watch eco-friendly artists create works of art from discarded items, meet eco-conscious inventors and play with the interactive art installations, all while finding locally made, crafty and sustainable items.

Artist Emmalou Ras will be premiering a new art installation in the Gallery that focuses on sustainability and our obsession with single-use plastic. Robotics Evolution has a huge aircraft carrier made out of cardboard for drone practice. Paint a wall mural with Muralist, Serio Perez. Artist Lilly Mott will be creating a human nest, Dan Ligaya will be live painting and Sunya Whitelight will be showcasing her StarBurst exhibit in the gallery and the lobby of the Atrium, the 7300 Folsom Boulevard building that houses live multi-story trees within the building. The event promotes sustainability, play, and kindness. It is free with something for everyone and every age. Remake, shop, play, explore and get creative.

Knowing it is impossible to indefinitely run a linear system on a finite planet, Upcycle Pop, Americas first Upcycle Market, is the inducer of play, sustainability, kindness, and circular economy reasoning.

"If we want any future, we need to rethink, redesign and reeducate our consumerism." Shira Lane, Founder Director of UpcyclePop.
