Roo is an exciting, innovative platform connecting veterinary hospitals with freelance veterinarians
The veterinary field is incredibly demanding, and work-life balance is increasingly difficult to achieve. This past January the CDC released a study (https://avmajournals.avma.org/
On Roo's brand new platform, veterinary hospitals can post shifts in real time, allowing doctors to plan vacations or even call in sick, something they are rarely able to do. Relief veterinarians can fill these shifts according to their own availability, skills and preferences. All of this ensures that the clients' needs are met without any interruption of quality and compassionate service. Think of it as Uber-meets-Facebook for professionals in the animal field.
Roo also allows each user to create a detailed profile, giving them the opportunity to learn about one another prior to scheduling shifts. As the community grows so will the platform, with more enhanced communication channels promoting supportive dialogue between users.
Roo's platform is currently serving Houston, Texas, with services rolling out to the rest of the state and ultimately providing nationwide support at the click of a button. Eventually, veterinary technicians will be able to use the platform as well, giving the entire industry the opportunity to communicate, connect, and support one another, manage their own schedules and, consequently, improve their wellbeing.
"We're thrilled that we have launched Roo in Houston first to help animal professionals with not only immediate relief work needs, but also the beginning of a forum that will allow everyone to communicate, connect, and feel empowered," said Lisa Hu, Roo Co-Founder & CEO. "Roo is truly dedicated to and looks forward to improving the everyday welfare of each individual."
