Positive Chess teams up with Bethany School in CincinnatiPositive Chess will be holding six week-long summer chess day camps in June and July at Bethany School, Glendale. This will be chess with a twist for every level of player - from kids who have never touched a chess piece to kids who play regularly in chess clubs or at home.
By: Positive Chess "We thought it made sense to partner with Bethany School since I teach chess in their after school program. Bethany is centrally located in the Cincinnati area and provides a comfortable and safe environment with their excellent facilities," The Chess Plus Summer Camp features engaging chess activities in the morning sessions and interesting non-chess activities in the afternoon sessions. This unique combination keeps the children intellectually stimulated, excited and engaged all week long. The afternoon sessions include three themes the family can pick from: Engineering, Fitness, or Chill Time activities. According to Iyoha, "One of my first memories is playing chess with my dad. I played from a very early age, through high school and college, up to today. I was also a very active kid when I was growing up - playing soccer, volleyball and ping pong. It struck me that mixing chess with other activities would benefit kids in so many ways. I am looking forward to meeting my campers this summer."
