-- Lighthouse of SWFL is pleased to receive $3,000, raised at a fundraiser hosted by Springwood Court Assisted Living Community. The Elvis Tribute Concert was attended by over 100 people at Cape Cabaret in Cape Coral on February 26th
The organization will use the funds raised to continue providing programs and services to people of all ages with blindness and vision impairment. Classes include independent living skills, safe cooking, Braille, orientation and mobility, low vision, technology using iPhones and iPads, art, music, and more.
Springwood Court, an assisted living community in Fort Myers, Florida offers apartment-style living surrounded by beautifully landscaped courtyard and gardens, restaurant-style dining, life-enriching activities, and social groups. The community provides spacious community areas, as well as personalized assistance and medication management from a caring, attentive, and trained staff.
Lighthouse of SWFL is a United Way partner agency serving individuals with blindness and vision impairment in Lee, Glades, and Hendry counties. The mission of the Lighthouse of SWFL is to enable people of all ages living with a visual impairment or blindness to remain independent, active, and productive in society. Lighthouse of SWFL, a nationally accredited agency, is funded by the Division of Blind Services, United Way, Lee County Government, and other private donors.
