UPSL Women's Division Announces West Texas' FPS FC as Central Conference Expansion Team
Founded in 2014, Midland (Texas)-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL

Based in Midland (Texas), Farm of Professional Soccer (FPS) FC will begin play in the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference, and play its home games at Grande Communication Stadium (801 N. Loop 250 W, Midland, TX 79703) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.
United Premier Soccer League Central Conference Manager Matt Kahla said, "We are proud to welcome FPS FC to the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference. The club has exciting plans overall, and are embarking on a path that will generate greater success for what they do to elevate local youth players to the college and professional ranks. We look forward to watching their talented players wear UPSL patch on their sleeves very soon."
Raul Ruiz is the Founder of FPS FC. The owner of Midlands (Tex.)'s Ruiz Plumbing, Ruiz, 55, previously helped create Midland-Odessa Sockers FC (NPSL), of which he is still part-owner.
FPS FC General Manager Sabas Ruiz said, "We are excited to announce our new FPS FC Women's Team to begin UPSL play. We realized it was as important for us to create our women's team as it was to create our men's team. We see the same necessity for a professional development team for our talented young ladies in the West Texas area. Until now, a women's team of this caliber has never existed and we are looking forward to attracting the area's top players and providing them the platform to continue to excel in the game and become role models for the next generation of players."
Jesus Enriquez is the new Head Coach of FPS FC. A native of Mexico, Enriquez played club soccer at University of Texas-El Paso, winning an intramural national championship in 1984. He went on to play at the University World Games in 1985 in Kobe, Japan, and later played professionally in both Mexico and the United States.
Previously was Head Coach of Midland Sockers (PDL) for two seasons (2009 and '10) following previous PDL coaching stints with Indios USA and El Paso Patriots, Enriquez concurrently is the Head Coach for the El Paso Coyotes (MASL).
The club soon will announce tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
