PALM CITY, Fla. - March 12, 2019 - PRLog -- The arts are alive in Martin County and Sandhill Cove in Palm City is hosting an indoor art sale and show featuring over 80 artists on Saturday, March 30 from 9 am to 4 pm.  The event is free and open to the public.
Members of the art committee include residents Genie Buchanan, Julie Bennett, Sherry Corbett, Jennie and Geoff Falbey, Joy Funston, Kathy Garlington and Pat Morgan; Jill Burton, marketing director, is coordinating the event.
Local professional artists will join with resident artists displaying their paintings, jewelry and whimsical home décor.  Purchasing art not only makes you feel good, but a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local organization Helping People Succeed.
This year selected retail stores will be showcasing their merchandise including: Sip Happens, Evelyn and Arthur's, Quill and Press, Treasure Coast Consignment and Coffman Collection.
A Kids Zone  will offer a rock painting project and a clown offering face painting and balloon animals. Kids can enjoy other fun activities while mom gets to explore the art work on display.
Another special activity will be a reading by local author Lois McGuire. She will be reading from her new book, "DON'T BE THAT KID! AT HOME", a beautifully illustrated book that teaches good behavior.
With so many artists exhibiting, casting a vote in the People's Choice Awards won't be easy, but ballots will be available.
In case of severe inclement weather, the event will be held on Sunday, March 31. Sandhill Cove is located at 1500 SW Capri Street in Palm City at the corner of Mapp and Matheson.
Suzy Hutcheson, CEO of Helping People Succeed and staff members will be greeting guests as they arrive and provide information about the nonprofit's services and opportunities. Helping People Succeed's goal is to help each person to reach their potential so they may have a successful future, enjoying their life fully and participating as productive taxpaying citizens.

Sandhill Cove is a loyal supporter of Helping People Succeed and has employed some of the agency's clients.  Proceeds will be used for their capital campaign to improve and purchase their building. The organization moved in June 2017  into a 20,000 square foot building in Jensen Beach at 1601 NE Braille Place. Learn more at http://www.hpsfl.org.
