Local Veterans Launch New Coffee/pizza Hybrid Concept At NAS JRB

BELLE CHASSE, La. - March 12, 2019 - PRLog -- No it's not just another food court, it's the first of its kind. Never before has a pizza and coffee shop hybrid been tried, but you can find it at Pierre's Eatery's new location at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse. The location places two franchises together in the same unit. Together with its sister store Three Layers, this new Pierre's location now offers everything from artisan coffees to fresh from scratch dough pizza.

"We wanted to create an atmosphere and food offerings that would support a service member at any time of the day," says owner and Marine Corps veteran Derrick Wilson. The Three Layers part of the franchise brings a community coffee house feel and delicious homemade treats such as the famous J Squared dessert – named in honor of the company's corporate home base: Jacksonville. After enjoying delicious treats, guests can then scoot to the pizza area and sit and watch pizza being made fresh by the head chef. Bringing the franchise to NAS JRB was the brain child of Derrick along with Army National Guard veteran Clarence Bonius and his wife Shanta.

Free WiFI and work stations with outlets are strategically placed throughout the unit to enable service members to work remotely or gather for meetings. The new location also has a unique "Petit Pierre's" kids feature where kids can ring a bell for a piece of dough shape it to their like liking and hand it back to be baked into their own creation. A sign on the wall teaches kids what it means to be a chef starting with the #1 rule of "respect others."

Pierre's values family, owner Shanta Bonius states "it was important to us not only to support those on active duty, but their families who are here as well." Which is why Petite Pierre's is set up to not only provide food for birthday parties, but to host a complete party celebration as well. It compliments the fact that the restaurant is tethered to the family fun arcade zone. In celebration of this NAS JRB milestone Pierre's is hosting a grand opening celebration on Thursday March 14^th. They will be giving out Elite membership cards entitling the holder to a free brownie every visit! Face painting is also planned for kids who want to come check out Petite Pierre's.

This is the 1st franchise location for owners Derrick Wilson, Shanta Bonius and Clarence Bonius. Pierre's Eatery is a unique culinary mix of French, Greek and Italian food all made fresh daily from top quality ingredients.
