Chayz Lounge Announces Relocation To Meeting Street In West Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. - April 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Chayz Lounge, the intimate listening room in the Vista that invites you to experience the finest jazz and rhythm & blues, announced today that it has leased the 2,450 sq. ft. space at 607 Meeting Street, and will transition to their new location in May 2019. This move will enhance their customers' experience and support the rapid growth of the business.

Chaye Alexander opened Chayz Lounge at the back of Nonnah's restaurant in the Vista on June 4, 2017 with the goal of providing a warm, elegant atmosphere for adults to experience the finest jazz and rhythm & blues talents. Not long after opening the doors, Chaye knew she needed a new space to better accommodate the influx of patrons to Chayz Lounge. Her search led her to a space in West Columbia's River District.

The new home for Chayz Lounge is west of the Gervais Street bridge, just 1.5 miles from its current location and provides ample parking. The new space will seat 84 people. In keeping with its warm, relaxed and elegant atmosphere, some soft seating will be incorporated with the existing tables and chairs. In response to the demand for a dance space, a small area will be added for those who wish to dance. Menu items will consists of small bites along the lines of tapas, signature cocktails and delicious desserts.

Adding to the exceptional line-up of musical talents scheduled to perform at Chayz Lounge is Groove Masters Band who will serve as the "Chayz Lounge House Band". The Charlotte based band has over twenty years experience performing various genres of music, from jazz and soul, to pop and a hint of country. Groove Masters has performed with countless notable talents, including George Duke.

Chayz Lounge is the brainchild of creative producer and former broadcast talent, Chaye Alexander. It began as the online radio station and virtual space to enjoy the best in smooth R&B and jazz 24/7! It also provided an avenue for new and established recording artists to reach a global audience. Thanks to the millions of loyal listeners worldwide, Chayz Lounge became one of the top radio stations on the web in its genre. But, Chaye had more in mind for Chayz Lounge. She envisioned it being a brick & mortar space for live performances. The back room of Nonnah's restaurant provided the perfect setting for such a concept. In June 2017, the Chayz Lounge venue concept was brought to life. The venue's 80-seat intimate listening room setting invites patrons to experience the finest talents from the jazz and rhythm & blues genres the way it was meant to be… up close and personal! That essence will transition to its new home on Meeting Street in West Columbia, SC.

The live music offerings will continue every Friday and Saturday evenings at the new location, and eventually Thursday evenings. The venue and adjacent outdoor patio will also be available for private functions during the days and on its off nights.
