Dylan Roche Releases First Novel

Dylan Roche is a journalist, editor, actor, director, playwright, teacher, and marathon runner based in Annapolis, Maryland. The Purple Bird is his first novel. When asked what inspired him to write the book, Roche responded, "I was inspired to write The Purple Bird after countless hours of imagining the ultimate magical adventure that every kid would want to be a part of, but what I was surprised to explore while I was writing it was how that adventure changes him and those he's closest to—and what he learns when he's pushed outside his comfort zone in ways he didn't expect he would be."
