Call To Witness host's a first "Call For A Cure 5K MS Walk Event"

STROUDSBURG, Pa. - March 6, 2019 - PRLog -- "Call To Witness" is set to launch a fundraising 5K MS Walk titled "Call For A Cure" on Sunday April 7^TH, 2019 at the Historic Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort from 10-2 pm.  This 5k Walk will be followed with a BBQ, Family friendly games, Pocono Great Talent Event Winner Jocelyn Berrios, music by DJ Ruby and special guest speakers Jane Gagliardo, Author Sherry Blackman, and Patrick Reilly.  A portion of proceeds will benefit The Tisch MS Research Center of New York, Jane Gagliardo's subject of "Call To Witness" personal MS Research Center.

"Since my diagnosis in the 80's, my passion has been to help find a cure or the cause of this devastating disease.  My Neurologist, Dr. Barbour was retiring and suggested I see a Neurologist at TISCH International MS Research Center in NYC.  I currently see Dr. Armistead Williams there.  I found a home for the care and struggle with my MS.  So what better way to help to follow my passion then to fundraise for TISCH.  This event on April 7^th at Shawnee will be epic in achieving my goal and passions to help eradicate MS.  I feel that having a disability gives me the ability to share insight on a subject that no one wants to talk about.   We hope you all come out and join the conversation and join us" says subject of "Call To Witness".

Since the release of "Call To Witness", Jane Gagliardo and Author Sherry Blackman have done numerous books signings, speaking engagements at several MS rehabilitation hospitals, libraries, supported many non for profit charitable events, and have done  television interviews in an effort to share their story to a larger audience.   Also, International Journalist and Author Sherry Blackman has done many radio interviews across the country in support of "Call To Witness".  "Call To Witness" is also a Monroe County Image Award winner for Best Written Expression.  They have also gone onto Hosting a successful Podcast "My Stories..Chapters and Challenges", a podcast (on Itunes and Soundcloud) about people who have overcome challenges in their lives and gone on to begin new chapters for themselves- told by the guests themselves.   Jane Gagliardo is also a State Certified Counselor and Advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for Women's Resources of Monroe County, helping those who need assistance and support.  Jane's story continues to inspire as a recent cover story on Stroudsburg Neighbors Magazine.
