SILVER SPRING, Md. - March 6, 2019 - PRLog -- PocketGuardian®, created in response to the increasing instances of Cyberbullying, was recently awarded a U.S. Patent for "System and method of detecting offensive content sent or received on a portable electronic device". Providing parents with real-time awareness of their child's digital footprint, PocketGuardian® continuously monitors connected mobile devices and accounts for potentially harmful communications such as Cyberbullying and Sexting. "Our mission from the beginning was to create a solution that prevented children from being cyberbullied. It's a global issue and we're extremely excited about this accomplishment!" says James Ryan, Co-Founder of PocketGuardian®.

PocketGuardian's similarly named app, PocketGuardian, utilizes this technology and sends automated alerts only when detecting potentially inappropriate or harmful content sent or received to the device, keeping the privacy of the child in mind. "From the start we considered the child's privacy." says Ryan. PocketGuardian® will continue to develop technologies on its mission to end digital abuse.
