Mounts Botanical Garden Names Joel Crippen as Display Gardens Horticulturalist

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 5, 2019 - PRLog -- Mounts Botanical Garden Names Joel Crippen as Display Gardens Horticulturalist

(West Palm Beach, FL – February 19, 2019) Rochelle Wolberg, Curator-Director of Mounts Botanical Garden, today announced that longtime horticulturalist Joel Crippen has been named Display Gardens Horticulturalist.

"A tropical ornamental plant expert and a Master Gardener, Joel Crippen has been an invaluable asset to Mounts Botanical Garden for many years and we look forward to his many positive contributions in his new position as Mounts continues to expand and attract new  visitors," says Wolberg.

Crippen earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both horticulture and landscape management at Oregon State University, and has had an extensive career spanning every aspect of the industry from Oregon to California and Florida. A former horticultural columnist for The Palm Beach Post, he lives in West Palm Beach's historic Flamingo Park District with his wife and two sons.

This awe-inspiring new eco-exhibition is part of the Garden's 40th Anniversary Ruby Jubilee celebration and runs through June. Located in the Great Lawn area of the Garden, this interactive, environmental exhibit features an original, massive, stickwork sculpture designed by internationally acclaimed artist Patrick Dougherty and created on site through a "community build"  by 106 volunteers utilizing 30,000 pounds of willow. The exhibition invites visitors to wander through, admire, and become part of a living art experience.
