By: Santa's Village "Santa's Village has been helping Chicagoland families create memories for 60 years," said Jason Sierpien, Park President of Santa's Village. "The addition of a state-of-the- Santa Springs will feature zero-depth entry to a 10,000 square foot, 8-inch deep wading pool with a two-story interactive water play structure. The water play structure will include dozens of water toys with two giant tipping buckets and six water slides, including a 50-foot long, four lane kiddie racer slide. While the kids play in the water area, parents can sit back and relax in surrounding lounge chairs or private cabanas. A new on-site 2,000 square foot bath house can be utilized for families to dry off and change before and after enjoying the park's other attractions. In addition to Santa Springs, Santa's Village will add a new private picnic grove, which can be rented out for parties, company affairs and more. The space will include a 3,000 square foot pavilion, volleyball court, and private entrance for more than 1,000 guests. Additional space for guests can be found in the new, 200-car paved parking lot. Construction for the expansion is scheduled to begin in March and marks the beginning of a multi-phase plan to bring new attractions and experiences to the park. Completion of Santa Springs and the picnic pavilion is slated for the 2019 summer season and entrance will be included in the general admission to Santa's Village. 60 Years of Creating Family Memories Santa's Village opened its doors in East Dundee in 1959 with the vision of bringing joy to local families through Christmas-themed attractions. Many of the attractions are still standing today, like Santa's Tree House Slide, which has been a favorite across generations. In recent years, Santa's Village has become a haven for wildlife with the addition of more than 200 animals, birds and fish that can be enjoyed by park goers. Santa's Village will celebrate its 60th anniversary throughout the 2019 season with a series of new attractions and special events, including bringing back the nostalgic Rock Spin & Roll ride.
