The Sculpture Garden is a biennial outdoor sculpture exhibition. On show are over 100 works by 30 exceptional, professional working artists. The sculptures grace the gorgeous flowing grounds along the banks of The River Thames. This is a the perfect place to visit and to buy a unique sculpture for your garden by an outstanding British Sculptor. 2019 sees The Sculpture Garden bringing young blood - work by up and coming sculptors, welcoming back - some of our favourite established sculptors and introducing - new sculptors to our exhibition.
Jenny Pickford's glass and steel sculptures been championed by Wimbledon, Christies and commissioned by local councils, international clients and Westfield shopping centres.
The stone sculpture of Nicolas Moreton has captured the imagination and acclaim of many an art critic: Tim Marlow, Brain Sewell and George Melly to name a few.

So many more prestigious sculptors showcasing their latest works. In these seemingly transitory times, we focus on artwork demonstrating longevity and sustainability and honour those artists working with skill, patience and a longer vision.

Our new section "young blood" showcases new talent. One young blooded - Emily Stapleton Jefferis is already making a name for herself in the ceramic community and has completed many residencies in her short career including one at The V&A.

The Sculpture Garden is a wonderful opportunity for dedicated sculpture collectors to add to their collections. Garden designers and lovers alike can find inspiration as well as excellent artwork.

With demonstrations, artists film and children's sculpture quizzes there is someone for everyone to be part of.

The 148 acres of Thames riverside gardens are not normally open to the public but The John Lewis Partnership, owners of The Odney Club, kindly offers the gardens for this unique event.

The Sculpture Garden is the launch and main event of The Cookham Festival of the Arts. The Festival sees over 15,000 people taking part in their creative activities over the two weeks. Visitors delight in seeing the sculptures set in these secret grounds, exploring the nearby walks and streams and completing their visit with a light lunch in the cafe.

Cookham was the birthplace of Stanley Spencer and has wide-ranging connections with the arts, including a gallery dedicated to Spencer. Cookham was voted one of the prettiest Thames Valley villages.

AA signposted. Open daily 10-5. Entry £2 to Cookham Festival.
