TAMPA, Fla. - March 4, 2019 - PRLog -- The New York Yankees blasted 6 home runs and Masahiro Tanaka pitched 3 scoreless innings as the New York Yankees ss blasted the Detroit Tigers ss by a score of 7 to 1.

The 2018 New York Yankees set MLB all-time team home run record with 267 home runs to appear to be well on their way to possibly shattering their own team home run record established in 2019.

Yankees Brett Gardner smacked two home runs, Aaron Judge blasted two home runs of his own to pace the Yankees home run attack inflicted on the Detroit Tigers pitching staff.

New York Yankees Gary Sanchez and Isiah Gilliam also blasted a home run each while Yankees Miguel Andujar contributed with 2 base hits of his own to pace all the offensive action the Yankees needed to handily put away the Detroit Tigers at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, FL

Dan Norris the Tigers starting pitcher gave up 4 hits 3 runs 3 home runs in just 1 1/3 innings pitched including a 1 BB and 2 SO. Meanwhile, Yankee starter Masahiro Tanaka pitched 3 scoreless innings giving up just 1 hit no BB while striking out 3.  Tanaka seemed unaffected by the MLB timing clock to deliver his pitches as he worked quickly compared to his usual slow pace between pitches.

Bronx Bomber Blues media creator and site developer commented that the staff at Yankees spring training action in baseball games are getting great insight into the 2019 Yankees spring training action. "All the reports I am receiving from our news staff down there are very good" I do believe the main thing we are looking for is that none of the Yankees suffer in serious injuries during the spring while fine-tuning their game in preparation for the regular season."

Suitor states I am told that "Aaron Hicks has a minor back issue and Clint Frazier hit by a pitch playing against the Toronto Blue Jays are dealing with being banged up slightly it is nothing that seems alarming at this point."

Mr. Suitor added, "Although none of the spring training statistics, wins or losses count for anything is certainly is exciting to see a number of the Yankees already flexing their home run muscle in anticipation to the Yankees 2019 MLB regular season"

Suitor went on to say "My staff is giving good reports in particularly regarding Miguel Andujar's defense appears to be very good so far and the additional hard work he has put in during the offseason seems to have created positive results. In addition,  Suitor says   I am told that the Yankees shortstop Troy Tulowitzki signed to a minimum salary offer this winter, compliments of the Toronto Blues covering the bulk of Tulowitzki salary is he is once again in top form both in offense and defense."

Tulowitzki is filling in for the injured Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius who is not expected to be back in action until July at best according to Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman.

The Yankees other ss team playing at Toronto Blue Jays spring training facility at Dunedin Stadium dropped a 5 to 2 decision to the Jays however Luke Voit also added a solo home run in the Yankees loss split-squad loss. The Yankees are off on Monday but will play host to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday, March 5th 1:05 PM EST at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa Bay.
