Zonta Douglas County announces 15th Annual Trivia Event fundraiser

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Feb. 28, 2019 - PRLog -- Sign up today to have your team of six adults participate in the 15^th Annual Zonta Trivia Night. The event will be held at Kirk Hall, Douglas County Fairgrounds, on April 6, 2019, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the trivia game beginning at 6:30. The popular event raises money to help fund scholarships and grants that improve the lives of women and children, both locally and at the international level.

"Your registration includes the opportunity to win cash prizes from $300 to $900, table snacks and drinks--non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer, margaritas," says Marilyn Harding, 2019 Zonta Douglas County Trivia Chair. "Food trucks will be available, and you can participate in the fun 'Heads or Tails' game plus more opportunities to support Zonta's good work in the community."

The cost for Trivia 2019 is $360 per team and $20 for observers. Online registration is available at www.zontadouglascounty.org .

"We sold out team tables last year so we encourage anyone who is interested to sign up early," says Harding. "Sponsorships also are available, starting at $500."

Zonta Douglas County's scholarship and grant programs are funded primarily through its annual Trivia Night fundraiser. Arapahoe Community College, in partnership with Zonta Douglas County, works to "Elevate Through Education." For the fourth consecutive year, matching scholarships were presented to students. The 2018 recipients were Mere Nance and Heather Morrison. Nance's focus is on a profession in law, after having had a career in law enforcement. Morrison is working toward a degree in nursing after the recent addition of twins to their family.

A downtown Castle Rock window display highlights Zonta Douglas County's continuing commitment to make a difference through education, as well as its ongoing efforts to eradicate gender-related violence.

Zonta Douglas County also sponsors students, who upon successful completion of Douglas County Libraries' GED tutoring program, are provided with funds to cover the cost of their testing.
