"Mass incarceration, particularly of poor people and people of color, is the humanitarian crisis of our time. It has devastated our families and communities. Addressing the effects of this must take many forms: reducing incarceration rates, providing reentry services to recently released incarcerated people, and supporting families who have been torn apart," says Carey Haughwout.

Professor Terryl Lawrence teaches Art History and Mythology at Palm Beach State College, Broward College and FAU Lifelong Learning.
