Hailing from Rampur in UP, Aheed Khan is a doctor, author, blogger, dancer and a poet who works in Delhi. Even as he was a brilliant scholar who had entered medical college at the age of 17, Aheed had a love for writing from the school days. Bleed is Aheed's 5th book. The book is divided into six sections and each of them depicting a particular phase in which he was at that point in time. The author's journey of seven years throughout the tribulations, during and after his medical school, have been written down in this bookas an artistic immortal memory. These sections tell you the sources of his inspiration engraved as poetic stories which, as the author calls it," unfolds and folds back into oblivion," as the author calls it.
The ideas expressed into the first two sections, Arise and Spring, are beginning and doubt. The second and the third, Fire and Angst depict his struggles and conflicts and explores his battles to channel his inner demons out through poetry. The two final sections, Wilted and Phoenix, are a tribute to the strength and the power of poetry in the author's life.
The author believes that writing is a tool to explore his subconscious mind and to find the realization of his truer self and that Bleed is a result of his constant zeal. He gives utmost importance to expand his memories into immortality through poems and stories and believes it as a part of his own way of keeping his sanity.
