Ignite Launches to Showcase Technology and Innovation

BALTIMORE - Feb. 26, 2019 - PRLog -- Ignite Technology and Innovation is excited to officially launch the organization to the public.  It is a not for profit organization based in Maryland with locations in Chicago.

Ignite Technology and Innovation was founded by Tracy Powell who serves as the organization's CEO and President.  The organization was created as a result of the lack of intentional spaces built in under resourced communities to teach technology and foster entrepreneurship.

Ignite Technology and Innovation has programming for youth technology, adult technology, and workforce development. The catalyst to create the company was based on the belief that if we are going to change the narrative of under resourced communities, we must have intentional spaces that offer technology based education affordable office space, workshops and classes for entrepreneurs.

Tracy Powell says, "Because Ignite understands the need for small businesses and startups to raise capital, we have a crowdfunding platform called BlueFundRewards that raises startup money for early stage companies.  We also look to work with communities in the cities where we have a presence."

Additionally, Ignite has a goal to launch 100 small businesses and startups out of the co working spaces that they develop.  Launch 100 is a program that is designed to do just that. The program provides the necessary tools to address four major areas of small business development: affordable office spaces, education and workshops, technology, and capital. The launch date for this program is scheduled for March 2019.

Ignite technology and Innovation currently has over 200 members in the Blue Lacuna Location located in the Pilsen community and is looking to expand into the Bronzeville community of Chicago, Cincinnati and Baltimore in 2019 .
