Who run the world: the first woman-only relay race comes to Dubai

BUSINESS BAY, UAE - Feb. 24, 2019 - PRLog -- Due to its incredible success in Abu Dubai, on Tuesday 5^th March 2019, Race The Dash is bringing the Daman Challenge Ladies Dash to Dubai - a fun run with an exciting competitive and collaborative edge never seen in the city before.

In the lead up to International Women's Day, the race aims to empower and encourage fitness for ladies in the UAE. It's a chance for women of all nationalities, religions, cultures and languages to come together to celebrate women's achievements. Participants simply need to create a group of five of their friends, family or colleagues and compete in a 5km relay race, with each participant running 1km as fast as possible.

On the day, as well as an awards ceremony with prizes and competitions, ladies can head to the Main Stage to take part in a Zumba class and other sessions, or visit the Activity Village bursting with thrilling fitness sessions, games and challenges. Tips & Toes will be giving out free neck, head & shoulder massages to participants.

Ladies Dash Registration, Activity Village and Main Stage Sessions start from 4pm, with the relay race kicking off at 6:20pm at Zabeel Park, Dubai.

In line with its mission to leave a legacy of a healthy and more active generation, on Saturday 2^nd March, The Daman Challenge Dubai Mini Dash will be held for kids aged 5 to 13 at Creek Park, Dubai.

The community fun run offers a holistic approach to family wellness with children having the opportunity to run the 500m route, followed by a visit to the Activity Village. The Village will feature an introduction to different activities thanks to the awesome partners, including BOUNCE Trampoline Park, The Cycle Hub and ESM sports academies, which will offer a variety of free sports classes.

The morning event from 8am – 12pm will also provide a stamp and small reward to children for each completed activity. Children will receive a medal after obtaining 10 stamps to go with their exclusive Mini Dash t-shirt.

For both events, part of the proceeds will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation's Farah program, the official charity partner of Dubai Dash. Both events are also proudly sponsored by Daman Health Insurance and Dubai Sports Council.
