Reports on Russian trade in goods with European countries in 2018

The share of European countries in Russia's total trade rose slightly in 2018 compared to 2017.
 
MOSCOW, Russian Federation - Feb. 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Europe in 2018.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Belarus, Italy, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Ukraine, Finland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Greece, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Malta, Serbia, Moldova, Ireland, Slovenia, Norway, Croatia, Portugal, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Albania, Iceland, and Montenegro (40 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with European countries in 2018

The share of European countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 51.69% in 2017 to 51.88% in 2018.

The share of European countries in Russia's total exports rose from 54.12% in 2017 to 54.43% in 2018.

The share of European countries in Russia's total imports declined from 47.86% in 2017 to 47.08% in 2018.

The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in 2018:

- The top ten Russia's trade partners in Europe in 2018 were Germany (8.6623% of Russia's total foreign trade), the Netherlands (6.8541%), Belarus (4.9409%), Italy (3.9217%), Poland (3.1508%), France (2.4985%), Ukraine (2.1775%), Finland (2.1439%), the United Kingdom (1.9971%), and Belgium (1.6976%);
- The top ten Russia's export markets in Europe in 2018 were the Netherlands (9.6610% of Russia's total exports), Germany (7.5776%), Belarus (4.8492%), Poland (3.6759%), Italy (3.6460%), Finland (2.5274%), the United Kingdom (2.1570%), Ukraine (2.1163%), Belgium (2.0469%), and France (1.6966%);
- The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Europe in 2018 were Germany (10.7119% of Russia's total imports), Belarus (5.1141%), Italy (4.4427%), France (4.0136%), Ukraine (2.2932%), Poland (2.1588%), the United Kingdom (1.6952%), the Czech Republic (1.5853%), the Netherlands (1.5508%), Spain (1.4266%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in 2018 over 2017:

- The share of Latvia in Russia's total exports declined from 1.3454% in 2017 to 1.0472% in 2018;
- The share of Belgium in Russia's total imports declined from 1.2870% in 2017 to 1.0376% in 2018.
