Dis / Inheritance: Established in 2013, Ikon Arts Foundation is a New York based 501(c)(3) with a mission to inspire engagement with Croatian creative culture. About: Donald Mengay is a writer and visual artist working in a variety of media. He has a BA in Psychology (University of Colorado at Denver), an MA in English (University of Denver), and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (New York University). He teaches Literature and Theory at Baruch College, CUNY, and travels extensively speaking about visual arts, gender, identity, and culture. Hrvoje Slovenc is a Croatian photographer based in New York. He holds MFA in Photography from Yale University School of Art (2010). Selected exhibitions include Past is Now, Münchner Stadtmuseum in Munich, Germany; Marble Hill, Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Croatia; New Media, Sex, and Culture in the 21st Century, Museum of New Art in Detroit;; and, most recently, Traversing the Past, Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
