Era Limited in Hong Kong has a piece of both pies

SHEUNG WAN, Hong Kong - Feb. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- Ellen Chan of ERA Limited in an interview said, "We are not calling the race of the ride hailing giants we have clients with shares in both companies". While we are more focused on the Uber IPO.

Uber Is going to be all it is cracked up to be. It's a large company and has a worldwide appeal. Lyft on the other hand should do well but Uber is like a lottery ticket everybody wants. It's going to be like Alibaba was and everyone wanted a piece of that action.

Last week Uber voluntarily shared its 4^th quarter earnings and while its losses were down below $1 billion, its rider growth slowed. Lyft doesn't share as detailed, consistent financial reports as Uber, but put together some metrics last year showing some growth.

"The IPO head start could give Lyft a small advantage as the first and only ride-hailing service publicly traded on the stock market.  But Uber will shine supreme once they float and we will see the windfall in their favor", said Chan.

Uber Technologies Inc. has been told by banks that it could be a $120 billion company when it goes public. Investors will be the ones who decide. That eye-popping valuation was sketched out to the company by Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

"This kind of valuation is a lot greater then Lyft's and growing", Said Chan. "We believe holding shares in either company is good thinking and a stroke of luck as the shares are hard to find at this stage".

Uber will release more shares to the market and the 2^nd round of financing will bring in more Institutional Investors, so the market price will be higher, and the demand will be greater.

"We are happy to be able to offer the IPO shares to our clients as we have secured an allocation early on", Said Chan.

The next few months will tell the tale and it should be an exciting one.
