The Veggiepalooza Tomato & Pepper Sale is March 16th-17th

FULLERTON, Calif. - Feb. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- The Fullerton Arboretum will host its annual Veggiepalooza sale Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th, with a special pre-sale for Members and Titan Card holders on Friday, March 15th.

Veggiepalooza is the biggest plant sale in the region, and will offer nearly 300 varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and varietal veggies for sale. This sale is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday and admission is free. Every plant sold was grown locally at the Arboretum.

Hours:

-Friday, March 15th: Members-Only Pre-Sale: 3-6 PM

-Saturday, March 16th: 9 AM-4 PM

-Sunday, March 17th: 9 AM-4 PM

Veggies available include tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, melons, peppers, herbs, and more. There will be 70 varieties of peppers including the Jigsaw Pepper, Atomic Starfish Pepper, and the Shishito Pepper. Over 100 kinds of tomatoes are also available. New in 2019 is the Glass Gem Corn, whose beautiful kernels shine brilliantly like glass. This decorative, edible, and delicious variety was bred from a Native variety by Carl "White Eagle" Barnes, the famous Cherokee corn collector. Get a jumpstart on the sale by visiting the Nature Center starting March 4th to pick up a $5 Veggiepalooza Resource Book.

Arboretum Members will receive special admission on Friday as well as 10% off all purchases all weekend long. Cal State Fullerton Titan Card Holders can also come for the Member pre-sale on Friday.

Become a Member and get early or discounted admission to events and classes. You can also visit 250 arboreta, gardens, and conservatories nationwide. Membership starts at just $49 a year.

Parking at the Arboretum is free, and additional free parking is available in the California State University Fullerton Lot G.
