PEARL RIVER, N.Y. - Feb. 19, 2019 - PRLog -- The musical and culinary triumphs of New Orleans will consume the Nyack Center on March 2nd when ArtsRock holds its annual Mardi Gras celebration.

Nyack resident and Grammy-nominated trumpet player Steven Bernstein will lead the charge as he is joined by his former Levon Helm Band partner-in-crime Erik Lawrence on saxophone; and Mark Sganga on guitar. Vocals by Lorena Mann. All told, a 10-piece band will celebrate the seasonal sounds that remind us how winter is waning and spring will soon be here. This annual event is the brainchild of saxophonist James Kimak.

Finger foods with a southern flair will be prepared by the Rockland Community College Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center and Nyack's own Cris Spezial. New City's District 96 Beer Factory will provide their best to wash it all down.

Tickets cost $45 and can be purchased at www.ArtsRock.org. Admission includes the finger foods. Wine and beer will be available at a cash bar.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for People to People, which operates Rockland County's largest food pantry. Cash donations will also be accepted by People to People, which works to alleviate childhood hunger and operates Clothes Closet, which provides those in need with warm clothing in cold weather; onesies for newborns; and professional outfits for job-seekers.

ArtsRock's Mardi Gras extravaganza kicks off at 8 p.m. on March 2. The Nyack Center is at 58 Depew Ave., Nyack.
