-- Sophia King turns tragedy to triumph with her latest book, Poetically Unapologetic
. The collection of poetry and spoken word invigorates the soul and inspires reader's to overcome trials and tribulations. The book is now available at Book Boutique at the Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia, Georgia.
Using her pen as a healing tool, King's powerful prose connects with readers who have experienced life's maladies, including death, abuse and addiction. In poems such as "Gone Too Soon," she tells a story of love lost due to an untimely death. There are two sides to her story, as with each setback she finds joy, as in the poem "Holiday for Love," which describes an ideal world with no hatred, racism or discrimination. King also speaks directly to women in her poem "Worthy," in which she encourages women to love themselves in a cruel world. King's book combines the ups and downs of life to create a unique compilation that makes readers laugh, cry, and, most importantly, connect with themselves.
Diane Zape says. "[The book is for] those who have learned to listen with the heart, to see with the inner gaze, to allow life to speak to them."
