LITHONIA, Ga. - Feb. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- Prospective Homebuyers in Dekalb County Georgia can now qualify for a down payment assistance grant. This program is considerd a true grant program and does not have to be repaid. This grant is not just for first time homebuyers buyers, however the home must be purchased in Dekalb County, GA only.

Homebuyers may choose a condo, new construction or resale homes. There are income restrictions that apply. The loan amount for the purchase can not exceed $320,850.  This is a new program for Dekalb County residents that desire to buy their first home or second home. Families often think they can not buy a home because they have not saved enough money for the required down payment, this is no longer true!

A down payment for a home selling for $200,000 can sometimes be as much as 3% or $6,000. This new down payment assistance program will cover up to 5% and it does not have to be repaid.
