Toronto Inventor Realizes Dream of Developing New Word Game, Jabuka!

Magically Morphing Alphabet Game to be presented at Toy Fair New York

TORONTO - Feb. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- Toronto inventor Martin Russocki, and his Jabuka Games Inc. co-founder Warren Kotler, are at the North American International Toy Fair® in NYC with their freshly brewed new word game, Jabuka.  This game delivers a totally unique twist not seen in other well-known word games.  It is being unveiled to the largest toy, game, and youth entertainment product marketplace in the Western Hemisphere from February 16 – 19, 2019.

Digitally Detox with Face-to-Face Game Play
Sitting in a Starbucks, designer, artist, illustrator and inventor Martin Russocki, scribbled his initial "M" on a coffee bean and then twisted it between his fingers to make a "W" and again to make an "E".  Looking for something new and different from playing with boring square-shaped pieces or doing crosswords, and with a goal of getting people off their devices and bringing them together in more meaningful face-to-face play, he came up with an idea for a dynamic and innovative word game. "A great game comes along once a decade. My dream was to trigger creativity with a great game that helps us become more curious about things we have already defined, so we can see them in a new and playful way. After rediscovering the alphabet, JABUKA was born!" said Russocki.

Russocki's vision was recently recognized with a 2019 National Parenting Product Award (NAPPA). "One of the best ways for parents to connect with their kids is through play," says NAPPA Awards Director Elena Epstein. "We are big fans of games that encourage family time, group play, creativity and learning. That's why we think Jabuka is perfect for families – it's unique, fun and puts a clever twist on wordplay."

Spill the beans with Jabuka, it's totally twisted fun!
This tactile, light and portable game, with no board, features 100% recycled wood coffee bean-shaped letters and letter pairs that magically morph into new words with just a simple twist.  This total brain workout promises family fun with fast, simultaneous gameplay.  Players aged 8-108 are encouraged to use their beans in a race to make and take words from opponents by twisting, adding or rearranging letters until the person or team who uses the most beans wins.
