A storm blew this bald eagle's nest down - you won't believe what it looks like now!

TAMPA, Fla. - Feb. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Nicholas and Victoria, the amazing southwest Florida bald eagles have a story of hope in the midst of life's storms, literally! Their nest has been blown down twice by storms ... rebuilding after destruction each time!

In 2017, Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 storm, toppled both the nest and the tree that "Nic" & "Vic" called home. The storm destroyed their dwelling but not their strength of heart. They decided to immediately rebuild in the tree next to their old nest!

In December 2018, an unnamed storm, unexpected and unseasonable, blew through the area and Nic and Vic's nest was blown down again. The next day, they began to rebuild.

Fast forward to today and this inspiring bald eagle pair is currently taking turns incubating two eggs on the nest. The first egg was laid on January 28th and the second on January 31st. Incubation for bald eagles is about 35 days, so expect to see the first hatch around March 4, 2019.

This nest is located on private property, which is also a working cattle ranch, near a large state park in southwest Florida. HDOnTap has partnered with Eagle Country to live stream the southwest Florida bald eagle cameras.
