Rekd stirring up some chatter about your favorite movies

BOSTON - Feb. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Social platform for movies and TV, Rekd, announced the roll out of its new chatter feature today. Chatter allows users to engage with each other in public conversations about the titles that they love.

Chatter opens the door for a new sort of interaction on the platform in the form of news, fan theory discussions, or short textual reviews. Despite the new text based feature, the app sticks to its roots, focusing on more visual content than text based content, limiting chatter details to 350 characters.

"Even though a picture can say a thousand words, sometimes you only want to say 350! A picture isn't always the best way to convey your thoughts and our users have been requesting public conversations for a while," said CEO, Shahyan Sajid."

Rekd's CEO's Q3 blog post highlights the company's focus on giving users more ways to engage with the platform and create content that they want to share with friends. Chatter appears to be another feature with the same focus from the company.

Users can visit the details page for any title to start chatter or browse what other users have posted. Chatter posted by profiles that a user follows will also show up on their explore feed. Rekd's machine learning algorithms, which also handle giving you new title recommendations, will surface trending chatter that users may enjoy based on their tastes. This feature has been out for beta testing but will be rolling out all users starting today.
