Cooperstown Environmental Adds Senior Staff

ANDOVER, Mass. - Feb. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Cooperstown Environmental LLC is pleased to announce that Lauren M. Konetzny, an experienced Licensed Site Professional (LSP) and chemical engineer, has joined the Andover-based environmental consulting firm.

Ms. Konetzny has more than 15 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting field since graduating from Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. LSPs are experienced professionals who oversee the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites in Massachusetts under MGL c. 21E. Lauren was elected by her peers to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the LSP Association, a professional trade group, through 2020. She has been heavily involved in professional activities for many years, including serving as member or committee chair of the Emerging Professionals Committee, the Technical Practices Committee, and the Legislative Committee.

Lauren has extensive experience investigating and remediating "Brownfields" properties, a specialty of the firm. Throughout her career, Lauren has managed site assessments and cleanups at gas stations, dry cleaners, industrial facilities, a former mental hospital, a former sanitarium, and former military facilities. She has specific expertise with hotel development projects at contaminated properties, including the winner of the 2017 Environmental Business Council (EBC) Award for Brownfields Project of the Year.

Ms. Konetzny is one of four Licensed Site Professionals at Cooperstown Environmental LLC, which in addition to site investigations and cleanups, has particular specialties in Brownfields Tax Credits and the emerging issue of vapor intrusion. Cooperstown is a specialist in designing and constructing sub slab depressurization systems (SSDSs) to prevent human exposure to harmful chemicals.
