Cannabis Art Reception Featuring Auma's Story: The Animated Short

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Feb. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Auma's Story: The Animated Short was an official selection of the InShort Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria. This silent animated art by Ozola Cody a Sacramento, Ca.-based artist  traces historical cannabis narratives, excavating and considering the local impact of legalization in her community and how it permeates contemporary culture.

The upcoming video reception features the animated short which is loosely based on Auma's Story the documentary about women and cannabis in Northern California. The documentary is exploratory and covers topics such as  women and their relationship with cannabis and cannabis equity.

On February 25, 2019 Oz Collective Media will host a Video Art Reception featuring Auma's Story: The Animated Short, it will take place from 7pm-9pm. The event is private and includes collaboration with other Sacramento based visual artist on the topic of legalized cannabis . The event will also feature the different voices of  influential women on the subject of cannabis .
