LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- Currently, DJ Perry the owner of Collective Development Inc. is in the midst of various marketing and PR endeavors with Bridgestone Multimedia Group and their theatrical partners at myCinema concerning their 2019 slate of releases.

CDI's WILD FAITH film is receiving a national theatrical release after having a notable 2018 limited run. The film follows characters set in the 1870's forced to deal with the changes in America following the American Civil War. The film ended its 2018 run by winning the Burbank International Film Festival taking home the 'Best Faith Film' award. The midWestern written by DJ Perry, directed by Jesse Low stars Shane Hagedorn and Lauren LaStrada. The film is highly entertaining but also contains several powerful messages. While some have placed the movie in a 'faith film' box, the movie plays just as well to the mainstream market. The faith aspects of this movie exist naturally in the time period versus feeling forced, as many faith film do.

"The film has faith woven into the characters and period - some overflowing and some sorely lacking in faith - just like real life. We don't push anything down anyone's throat faith-wise simply letting the story do the job of inspiring conversation and introspection."
- DJ Perry, writer

THE CHRIST SLAYER is the third installment in CDI's biblical adventure trilogy. Again it tells a story without talking down to anyone. A viewer of any religion or no religion could still watch and enjoy this parable film. It all takes place with the Passover being the backdrop for the story. Theatrical and home video all wanted the Easter-window of release so we have a unique release pattern. A special series of 'Event Screenings' nationwide are being set up to release on April 19th.

The film inspired by the Chuck Heston biblical classics, again was written by DJ Perry, and can be seen now on Amazon Prime, Christian Cinema, Google Play and other digital platforms. It releases on DVD March 4th but the film really should be enjoyed at least once on the big screen. Director Nathaniel Nose tells a great story of the Roman soldier (Carl Weyant) said to have put the spear to the side of Jesus. (DJ Perry)

This Summer will see the release of another CDI film MBF: Man's Best Friend, to theaters and home video. Directed by Anthony Hornus, the film has themes of wounded military vets and adoption dogs.

"I'm told the theatrical company has been eager for a look at a screener but the film is just finishing editing before moving to music and sound design."
- Anthony Hornus, director

The pressure to keep the films moving is actually a blessing. Many films attend countless festivals in hopes of finding a distributor. CDI can mostly bypass that timely and often expensive process due to their on-going relationships. CDI has earned a reputation for pulling together quality artists behind a film. To keep up with the demand for CDI content, the next CDI film, LOST HEART has been announced.

LOST HEART, is a comedy/drama that focuses on a fading music star who returns to her small, Northern-Michigan fishing town for her father's funeral. Comedy and drama unfold with a cast full of quirky characters. The female lead of 'Hannah Sweet' will be played by Michigan actress Melissa Anschutz. She's best known for her work starring in ASHES OF EDEN, BESTSELLER and playing 'Mother Mary' in CDI's biblical THE QUEST TRILOGY.

Also announced is the film's director. That honor will go to Michigan resident Jesse Low. Jesse Low has previously collaborated with CDI on the first biblical adventure "Forty Nights" and the above mentioned "Wild Faith" that will be in theaters this March. The film is expecting to roll cameras in the April/May timeframe.

The casting has been on-going for several months and announcements will start in the coming weeks as production moves forward. CDI has a deep roster of crew to pull from with many living in Michigan. For casting and crewing opportunities please follow www.cdiproductions.com
