The general public is invited to tour the nearly 15,000 square foot facility, meet the staff, and enjoy refreshments.
"We are very proud of the beautifully renovated dialysis facility that we can offer to the residents of Muscogee County," said DCI Area Operations Director Lori Peters. "The interior of the clinic was completely remodeled to improve the patient's experience. Treatment stations have been expanded and we have improved patient access though out the clinic."
Attendees of the open house will have the opportunity take a behind the scenes look at how dialysis works with a tour provided by Rebecca Robinson, Nurse Manager and Ariel Pinero, DCI Chief Technical Manager.
Individuals will have the opportunity to talk to Sharon Anthony, RN, REACH Kidney Care Coordinator, about transplants and delaying the progression of chronic kidney disease.
"Our team is looking forward to meeting people on Sunday and providing answers to their kidney disease and dialysis questions," said Peters.
The 38-station facility offers in-center hemodialysis services Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each station has a personal flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. DCI North Columbus welcomes new patients to the facility.
Dialysis Clinic, Inc., the nation's largest nonprofit dialysis provider, currently has four in-center hemodialysis clinics, as well as a home therapy clinic, DCI Columbus Home Dialysis, and REACH Kidney Care services, offering chronic kidney disease education, in the Columbus area.
