Former Nappy Roots Member Releases New Music

RProphet is a rap artist born in Oakland, California, born Kenneth Ryan Anthony, he was raised in the state of Kentucky before eventually moving to Atlanta. His influences are Ll Cool J, Ice Cube, 2 PAC, Lil Wayne, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. Similar to Master P's landmark deal, RProphet's label (VVS Music 1) teamed up with Ray Hamilton (former CEO of Legion of Doom Dj's) That Rabbit distribution in a joint venture with Sony music Orchard to deliver his highly anticipated album, "THE VOICE." Smash hit "Jesse James", a single on the album, is sure to crash radio waves worldwide. RProphet's witty lyrics also makes reference to R. Kelley's behavior, and some may even say it's an R. Kelly diss.

Before embarking on his solo career, Kenneth was a lead member of the multi-platinum rap group titled Nappy Roots while also attending Western Kentucky University. The multi-platinum group was so successful that September 16th, 2002, is still remembered as Nappy Roots Day in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to commemorate their success and the amazing talent of RProphet.

Rolling Stone writer Toure' was quoted saying "RProphet has a voice in hip hop that only comes around once in every generation." RProphet is a timeless artist, songwriter, and producer that has accomplished many things, including writing Grammy-nominated "Po' Folk," which launched Anthony Hamilton's career. He was also a major hit on MTV's reality show CATFISH as the first celebrity "catfish" victim, which brought fans in from Brazil, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Africa, New Zealand, EU, Japan, and worldwide, clamoring for his new music. RProphet is a survivor of police brutality. He was tased fifteen times by Kentucky state police, as shown on TMZ. Now, he advocates as a humanitarian through charitable events and motivational speaking around the country to show his support for victims and their families.

With Nappy Roots, the artist experienced massive achievements, but eventually, decided to go solo. He collaborated with former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh on a stunning hit single, "Run Tell the DJ To Crank It," which went on to be a very successful debut for his solo journey. RProphet also worked on a previous collaboration with Kanye West on "Walls Closing In," which was a major commercial success. He is looking forward to future collaborations with the cultural icon.
