The Don Reed Story, A Life on The Edge of Eternity Documentary to premiere on CTN TV

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Feb. 6, 2019 - PRLog -- A compelling documentary centered around redemption and overcoming addiction will premiere on February 23, 2019 on CTN TV in Southwest Florida. The Don Reed Story, A Life on the Edge of Eternity is a feature length documentary produced by Western Harvest Media in conjunction with Crossing Paths Ministries.

The one hour television special of "The Don Reed Story" Documentary will be broadcast across the Christian Television Network throughout the Southwest Florida region on Saturday night February 23rd, 2019 in prime time at 9:00 pm Eastern and by live streaming at CTNTelevision.com. The film is a documentary about Don Reed and his journey through addiction and his remarkable path to recovery. Despite a successful career and loving family he became a hardened gambler and addict and was living a double life for many years. The documentary is an enlightening look at addiction that can be applicable to those currently sharing in similar mental health issues or those living with friends and family suffering from addictive behaviors.

The North American Foundation for Gambling Addiction Help reports that approximately 2.6% of the U.S. population has some type of gambling issue. That adds up to nearly 10 million people in the United States who struggle with a gambling habit. This issue adds up to approximately 6 billion dollars each year, which impacts the U.S. economy and citizens. Don Reed was one of these statistics.

"Gambling does not lead to a physical dependence like opioid drugs or alcohol, but it can destroy relationships, jobs, finances, and dreams," said Don Reed. He continued, "I am grateful for redemption and finding my faith and my way out of this often overlooked addiction."

Don G. Reed, Sr. is a former alcoholic and compulsive gambler. He had established a successful accounting firm and ran a motel, but addiction to alcohol and gambling destroyed them both. He owed 30 financial institutions plus 40 creditors and did not declare bankruptcy and in 1985 finished paying all creditors.

Now, he is an IRS Enrolled Agent and has established Reed & Reed Associates, Inc., a tax accounting services with 20 employees, 2 CPA's and over 2800 tax clients and 100 corporate clients. He founded Crossing Paths TV, which is now on many local cable companies. He is the author of "Now I Bet On You Lord," Crossing Paths edition and hosts tours to Israel.
