Important New Book Seeks to Conquer America's Political Divide
Author and Former Republican Congressional Candidate Eric Beck Wants to Bridge America's Political Divide by Educating Americans on Constitutional Principles
By: Free Nation Media LLC
Author Eric Beck states that his book has been written to remind Americans about the Constitutional principles that have guaranteed our freedom, prosperity and national unity for more than 200 years. "I also wanted to call people's attention to the progressive political movement that is working hard every day to undermine these Constitutional principles, thereby creating both political and cultural division in our nation," said Beck. "Other books written on this topic are focused on how to reunite the nation based on the psychology of bridge building, changing the nature and size of government, encouraging dependency on government, or by pushing a specific political agenda. Conquering the Political Divide is unique because it speaks to why a competent understanding of both civics and economics encourages greater respect for the ideas and ideals of the Constitution. It is these two disciplines that enable citizens to better understand these ideas and ideals, thereby creating the actual basis for national unity that has served our nation since its founding."
In his book, Beck points to studies that confirm that our nation's public schools are doing a poor job of educating high school graduates in civics and economics. Beck said that "without a competent understanding of these two critical disciplines, a citizen is left to evaluate public policy without understanding what is legally permissible and/or economically realistic. For example, recent progressive proposals for 'Medicare for all' call into question whether the Constitution would permit federal enactment of such a program. Likewise, Americans should question how the nation can afford to pay for such a program when Medicare already has $37 trillion in existing unfunded liabilities."
Conquering the Political Divide offers readers 14 essays on matters of economic policy, healthcare policy and social policy where constitutionally conservative ideas are contrasted against those proposed by modern-day progressives. Through these essays, readers will receive a basic education in civics and economics while simultaneously gaining greater appreciation of the Constitution and the Founder's vision of the American Dream.
Conquering the Political Divide is published by Author Academy Elite of Powell, Ohio, and distributed by Free Nation Media.
Advance Praise for Conquering the Political Divide
"The U.S. Constitution is the fiber of the patchwork we call America. Just as organizations refer to bylaws and dogma, Americans and their elected officials should refer to the Constitution for fundamental guidance. Mr. Beck's crisp arguments for the importance of this fragile thread as the basis of our democracy is a must read for the current generation of Americans who seek truth over partisan fabrication."
"From taxes to health care to the economy, Eric Beck dissects the issues before us today and strongly presents that the Constitution be the lightening rod to unite Americans again. Elected officials and candidates for office would benefit greatly from reading Eric's book!" – Michael Mule – President, UPT Strategies
"This book is a must read for everyone interested in government and politics. Competing Visions of the American Dream is a compelling chapter that clearly shows where we are and where we are heading as a nation." – Steven Rogers – Commissioner, Nutley, New Jersey
