SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Jan. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- As Central New York, like most of the country, is bracing for some of the coldest days in recent history, one Syracuse nursing home is prepared to battle mother nature head on.

With winter weather expected to reach -2 degrees over the next two days in Syracuse, Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Centers admission team will be out around town delivering hats, gloves and socks to the areas homeless individuals.

"My boss called me and said, you're not going into the office tomorrow! Go fill up your car with as many hats, gloves and socks as you can and hand them out!" stated Adam Shopiro, an Admissions Screener with Bishop. "Naturally, I said 'DONE!'" Shopiro concluded.

Meteorologists are bracing for some of the coldest weather in years and the less fortunate are always the most vulnerable in times like these prompting Bishop's ownership to change the course of daily business and provide care where it's needed most.

Adam and the team will be on the move throughout city all day, stopping wherever the need is he can currently be found at the corner of Lodi and Butternut right next to Lombardi's. If you know someone in need of some warmth simply email Adam ashopiro@bishopcare.com or send Bishop a message on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/bishopnursing/
