Flagler Tiger Bay Club Hosts School Safety Panel February 21st

PALM COAST, Fla. - Feb. 7, 2019 - PRLog -- As part of The Flagler Tiger Bay Club's community engagement initiative, the club will host a school safety panel event on February 21st, 2019. The event is open to the general public at no charge, however, space is limited and advance registration is required on The Flagler Tiger Bay website at www.FlaglerTigerBayClub.com. The event will be held at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE, Palm Coast. The general public and members are invited to attend the panel discussion from 7:00pm until 8:00pm.

The panel will consist of Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly, Dr. James Tager, Superintendent of Flagler County Schools, Dr. Earl Johnson, Executive Director Leadership Development for Flagler County Schools, and Randy Stroud, Director, Domestic & Homeland Security for the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Panel discussion includes risk assessments, mitigation, preventative measures and deterrence, security, response, recovery, and community healing with regards to school safety. The panel will also cover how Flagler County is positioned, what plans and programs Flagler County has in place, what have been some of the results, and what local concerns are.

In addition to the moderator, prepared Panel questions will be coming from a stakeholder focus group comprised of students, teacher and teacher union representatives, PTO parent representatives, Flagler County Sheriff's Student Resource Officer representative, and a representative from the Department of Social Services. Written questions will be taken from Members of Flagler Tiger Bay Club.

About Tiger Bay Clubs

The first Tiger Bay Club was founded in Miami Florida in 1964.  Stephen Paul Ross, a political consultant, led the group that founded Tiger Bay.  It was founded as a nonpartisan political club. Through a loose affiliation, Tiger Bay has grown to over 20 clubs in Florida.
