Women's Business Center RVA Making Small Businesses Shine with Sparkle Event

RICHMOND, Va. - Jan. 28, 2019 - PRLog -- The relatively new Women's Business Center RVA (WBCRVA) located at 1510 Willow Lawn Drive, Suite 100 is bringing the shine to small business owners with the Holiday Sparkle Business Bazaar.  The Sparkle Event is providing seminars from the likes of author, vlogger and local legend Rita Ricks to national teacher and speaker Susan Nolan.  In addition to seminars on Business Basics 101 with our Executive Director Shirley Crawford and Legal for Business with AV-Preeminentâ„¢ rated attorney Sarah McCurry there will also be information on Marketing, Finance, Insurance and other vital tools and resources that every small business needs.

Since the event, like the Women's Business Center, is women centric there will also be vendors for shopping in between all of this information. This FREE event will be hosted at the Women's Business Center and begins at 10am and will last until 3pm.  Vendor spaces and sponsorship are still available.

Executive Director, Shirley Crawford states that while others are gearing up to show love to their partners the Center thought it was a great time to show some love to your business.  "Whether you're just getting started or just need some advice February 9th will be a great time to network and get to know some of the resources and tools that your business needs. Also note that men, of course, you are welcome you are just not our focus."  The event is FREE but registration is required and can be completed at https://wbcrvaholidaysparkle.eventbrite.com.

As reported by the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, "Women entrepreneurs, in particular, are creating new businesses, disrupting established industries and developing innovative products at a record pace. While the trend is moving in the right direction, women-owned businesses still grow at a slower rate and earn less revenue than male-owned firms. In fact, women entrepreneurs face persistent institutional barriers that make achieving financial parity a serious challenge with lasting consequences."

Ms. Crawford says that we can all quote the stats but events like the Sparkle Business Bazaar and the Women's Business Center RVA in general are here working every day to change those stats for the better.

WBCRVA is a mixed used center providing mailbox services, coworking, office rental and most importantly consulting.  Shirley Crawford, former BizWorks Assistant Director, is the Director of WBCRVA and she shares, "the difference between the Center and the many office rentals popping up around town is simple, we don't just provide space. We don't just take your money and say figure it out. We provide a safe place to launch, sustain or grow your business.  Here at WBCRVA you get the space, true, but consulting, coaching, mentoring, monthly seminars and a CEO Roundtable are also ALL included for each member. And we mean member NOT tenant."
